Weleveld estate - Overijssel - the Netherlands

to sleep

The Pleisterplaats ("stopping place") Rabo H. Scheele is situated at Hertmerweg 37, Hertme. The farmer and his wife converted part of the farmhouse in a shop and a room for a touristic stopover to have coffee, tea, etc. Visitors will find here a display on the history of Weleveld. Long ago this farmstead also served as a ''stille kniep'', an illicit pub, where waggoneers and drivers could have a jenever to warm them up. The orchard next to the farm serves as a camping site for up to 25 campers. Tents or caravans are not allowed.

Campers that wish to use the camping site in the orchard are required to register at the Pleisterplaats.
