Palacio de Prelo - Asturias - Spain
At Prelo Manor, guests will enjoy extraordinarily beautiful and extremely peaceful scenery. Surrounded by green fields where cattle graze contentedly and with breathtaking views out over the Sierra de Bobia, the only thing to interrupt the peace and quiet will be the sweet song of the nightingale.
The Hotel is set in the heart of the Navia Nature Park, (Parque histórico del Navia) and this privileged situation gives guests the opportunity to visit a number of well-preserved Iron Age settlements (Castros de Coaña and Pendia) and enjoy truly magnificent mountain scenery: lush green grass, purple heather and many other typical flowers, which is why Boal is also known as the capital of honey in this area.
Nearby in the district of Boal, there are many archeological remains of interest to the visitor, including an Iron Age settlement in Pendia. Off the beaten track, and out into the mountains of the Sierra de la Bobía, the tranquil scene of horses and cows grazing freely is reminiscent of another age. For the more energetic, a walk up to the top of the mountain range will reward you with some truly breath-taking scenery as deep valleys disappear into the distance towards the coast. The beaches of the Cantabric coastline can be reached by car within an hour's drive from Palacio de Prelo.
