Torre a Cona - Florence - Italy
The Torre a Cona estate covers an area of 700 acres of which 40 are dedicated to vines, while the rest is covered with olive groves and forest, representative of the typical landscape of the Tuscan hills. The estate is located at an altitude of some 350 meters above sea level and the vineyards are planted with different climatic exposures. The soil is predominantly limestone. The vineyards are cordon trained and spur-pruned with an age that varies between 10 and 18 years. The wines produced are: Chianti, Chianti Riserva, Sangiovese IGT, Merlot IGT, Vermentino DOC and Vin Santo.
Their cold pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced from the olive groves of the estate. Many regional and typical products are available from the wine shop.
