History of the estate
The Castello stands right in the heart of Roncade, a small town in the Venetian inland, near Treviso. In the early 1900s Baron Tito Ciani Bassetti chose Castello di Roncade as the new residence for his family and the place where he could follow one of his dreams: to make wine in an area that since Roman times had been part of the Serenissima.

At the beginning of the 20th century the Ciani Bassetti family, whose roots lie deep in the agricultural nobility of the Trento region, purchased the estate and undertook

an extensive renovation of the castle and replantation of the vineyards. The property, home to some of the most interesting wines in the area around Treviso, has enhanced the family’s passion for viticulture and winemaking as well as the ability to produce high quality wine
