Medieval town of Tillac
Surrounded by the valley of Boues, the village of Tillac takes its name from the Gallo-Roman Tilliacus. The medieval town still features a few monuments that are well worth a visit, like the Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur church dating back to the 15th century with liturgical treasures.
Marciac is a 18th century bastide, nestled in the valley of the Gers. Enjoy the good life with the jazz musical festival in August, Saint-Mont wines, foie gras, and other delicious regional products or visit Museum d’histoire naturelle with its beautiful collection of birds (300) and eggs.
Museum d’Artagnan in Lupiac
In the city of Lupiac, the most famous Gascon, Charles de Batz de Castelmore, otherwise called D’Artagnan, was born in the 17th century. Through a sound and visual journey as well as an exhibition you can discover more about the story of D’Artagnan.
The Terms Tower
The Terms Tower is one of the best kept examples of military Gascon architecture from the 13th century. You can visit the medieval armoury and historic decorated rooms that evoke scenes of everyday life in the Middle Ages. During summer, several medieval shows take place at the Terms Tower.
