Chateau Botevo 

 

‘Chateau Botevo’ is located in the ‘Baltaluk’ area of the Bulgarian village of Botevo (Tundzha district). Chateau Botevo has been known as a Winery since opening its doors in the autumn of 2013.  There are more than 957 hectares of vineyards, which are owned by the ‘Staven’ Joint-Stock company; the owner of Chateau Botevo is Ivan Ivanov.

The vineyards include such well-known varietals as Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Muscat, Merlot and Pinot Noir with the capability of manufacturing 750 tonnes of grapes. The winery has more than 600 new barrels made of French and American oak aged at different baking degrees along with an innovative waste water treatment plant, which works on a biological principle enabling waste products not to damage the environment.
